This video makes me sad. Don't bother posting your opinion on eating red meat if you aren't willing to watch how it is made. If you actually watch the entire video like I did, I applaud you and want to know what you think. If you don't actually watch it, then your opinion means nothing to me personally. I am not a vegetarian, I am a Pescetarian which means the only kind of "meat" I will eat is fish. So therefor I don't call myself a vegetarian or vegan. Tom said he wants to stop eating meat again.

wow grey im not gonna lie that was really moving. I've never really connected eating meat with the animals it actually comes from. This abuse is absolutely horrifying to see. I will definitely be thinking about this the next time i sit down to eat a hamburger, steak, or some chicken... i just may decide that i can't eat it.. =/

I watched that a long time ago when I was vegetarian. It's cruel and all that, but sometimes there's nothing else to eat specially when your family eats a lot of meat. It's also very hard to stay vegetarian when you're traveling. I stopped being vegetarian on Senior Night of whatever it's called cause they gave us cheeseburgers. :(

I know most of America won't stop eating meat and I am ok with that, I just feel its important that we feel thankful towards the animals for giving (by force) their lives so some of us can eat meat. I naturally don't like the taste of most meat, but I really like fish and sushi so I eat plenty of that. I really admire the way of the Native Americans who would use every part of the animals they would hunt. They would eat the meat, use the fat for oil, use the skin for clothes, and use the bones for tools. Also they would bless the animal and thank it for its life. They did it the humane and spiritual way.

Alright, i watched the entire video, and am going to give you my opinion :)

First off, i get the feeling that this isn't true for EVERY single farm. In fact, and I don't mean to sound like 'Australia is better than America' - but I'd be VERY surprised if this is the same for Australian farms. But, if you can prove me wrong, then please do.

Secondly; I work in a take-away chicken shop. And the chickens we sell are grain fed and free range. Which means, if you don't know, that the chickens we sell are not fed any growth enhancers and are not confined to small cages. You could argue that 'I don't know that for a fact', and I would reply "Yes, I do. Because my boss has traveled down to the farm to make sure that this is the absolute truth".

Finally; I love meat. I always have, and most likely always will. This video did not sway my opinions in eating or not eating meat at all. But I have nothing against vegetarians or pescetarians, in fact, I have a really good friend who is pescetarian. I have really close friends who are vegetarians. And i respect that. However, it is not for me.

I have no doubt that Australia treats their animals much better than America does.

This horrible problem of slaughterhouse torture is the STANDARD form of meat production in America. It is completely legal here. In London 750,000,000 (yes million) animals are slaughtered a year, and I wouldn't be surprised if the number is even higher in America.

I wish there was a ranch that only used animals for their meat after they died of natural causes. I am not sure if they could do that but at least the animals would live full length healthy lives.

when i read the title i thought it was a thread on masturbation lol....

But in all seriousness, what they do to the animals is really messed up and i don't agree with what they do at all. I wish i had the willpower to become a vegetarian, but i live off meat.

I' was told once that to be considered "free-range" a chicken only has to be out in the open for half an hour everyday... but when I Googled it I couldn't find anything saying that. It does, however, say that free-range can be a bunch of chickens crowded together in a shed with no windows and a tiny hole that leads to outside, where there's a little fenced in area that can't hold all of the chickens even if they're crammed together... It kind of sucks that there aren't many government regulations on what "free-range" really means.

I believe companies can legally sell hormone infested foods without actually having a label that says they used hormones to "produce" the meat. I think they should be forced to put a label on the front that says "Genetically enhanced."

i know Tyson puts on their whole chicken packages "raised without antibiotics", but i don't know if that's the same thing as hormones.

I saw it when I was a vegetarian also. I was one for just under 2 years, but I was drinking an awful lot then, and one night I got drunk and ate a chicken Subway. Iv'e never looked back since.

I'd love to stop again, but, right now, I'm focusing on getting myself together. Once I feel right, it's soemthing i'd look into.

Wow. Thats fucking sad.
Those fucking farmers should be fucking shot.
Baby Piglettes thrown onto the ground, killing them because they cant walk? Thats fucking sick.
Their faces, They look so helpless.
Fucking slitting their throats? If they are going to kill an animal it should be done humainly and properly rather than fucking amateur cunts who dont know what the fuck they are doing. I agree with you, Grey, about the animals who are sick or already dieing. I don't agree with this fucking "Forcing animals to get fat and killing them" idea. It sucks. I REALLY hope the sick pricks who do this to helpless animals become one of these animals. Then they will get the sick abuse that these animals face..

This video brought a tear to my eye. It's sick. These animals are LIVING things just like us!

Sorry for being so angry. It's just one of those things that bring a tear to my eye! The fucking shame on people killing animals for no reason and abusing them. These idiots in this video should be ASHAMED!.

Good to hear your Dads' work didn't do this..

My dad worked in a slaughterhouse for a very short time but quit because he didn't like seeing animals gets killed like that. He said they were way over the line with them. Some guys who worked there got some sort of enjoyment out of it, they felt powerful. He had no idea animals would be treated like that. He thought they would be shot in the head so they died instantly and felt no pain. But once he knew how they really treated them, he quit and never worked in any slaughterhouse again.

This is the same fucking way I felt. I didn't watch the whole thing i stoped at 10:16, I just couldn't do it anymore, watching the baby pigs treated like that, all the animals treated like that just made me feel sick, made me want to cry, makes me want to be veggie, I could deal with fake meat shit like veggie burgers, the drinking milk would be hard so I don't think i could do that. What this makes me think is like like, I have a little dog, and he is like my best friend I love him and have had him since he was very very small, just after he was born. He is a wiener dog and he is 4 years old. Watching this just makes me feel like what if like someone were doing that to my dog, the baby pig is around the same size of him and the whining I just get so upset because he is so special to me. It's fucking wrong!, fucking wrong, meat is not worth this shit!

I remember back in grade 10(2 years ago) seeing a video about people over in the middleeast or something and they were killing like fox type animals to get fur, they did the same thing with the pig where they bashed their heads on the ground, only did it once and then litterly skinned it alive, and the animal was lying there whining after they were done, ya, its fucking gross, I got up and left that class I just couldnt sit in the library and work on my project after that.

I just can't see how someone would do that...:(

Totally agree with you.
Those baby pigletts are like the same size is my dog. :( It makes me sick..
