I saw it last night. I was really tired and fell asleep in the middle but it was still funny. Funniest movie I've seen in a while but I think the TV show is better than the movie. But if you like the Simpsons at all you have to see it.

i think the movie kind of died in the middle a little bit...i was cracking up for the first half hour, and towards the end alot. But some damn little kids sitting one row up were so damn annoying. They were saying "oh the hammer is aobut to get him in the eye" and they were singing the spiderpig thing and it ruined it all for me...they laughed at non funny times and they said what was going to happen next because of the trailer.

Yeah, the trailer gave away a lot of the funnier parts. I didn't have little kids around being annoying I had white trash rednecks beside and behind me that were being loud and obnoxious. I fell asleep when they were in Alaska and woke up with Homer outside the dome. I don't know how much I missed.

I thought the movie was great, it was hilarious. And I agree that it started to die at the end of the movie.

I don't think I'll be seeing it soon. I want to try and avoid all the <10 year olds who will just laugh at anything and are only there because they want to be like Bart
I saw it today! It was really funny. When they actually showed Bart's balls and penis the theater erupted with laughter. It was a well done movie and in the credits Maggie spoke her first word and said "sequel". So fans have that to look forward to plus at least two more seasons of the show (if not more).

I heard they were stopping after the movie?
I heard they were stopping after the movie?
Season 19 starts in September. And they are aiming for at least 20 seasons plus a possble second movie. The Smpsons are too big to end right now.

I agree. They can keep it going for so much longer.
Like with South Park, the creators have two more seasons on their contract and they said they are afraid to make any more episodes because they don't want to ruin the show somehow. Its important to end a show before people are tired of it but at the same time you have to keep the fans happy so you'll get good DVD sales.

Matt Groening stated that they will continue making the simpsons until it stops being fun to make.

It was a good movie eh? It was hard for me to believe I was actually watching the movie and not the show at times. I loved that they openned it with Itchy and Scratchy.

they could have easily put that into 3 tv episodes but they wanted money...smart decision. It's the numero uno movie right now.

Plus the animation is better than the episodes on TV. Did you see all of the Korean animator's names in the credits?
