anyone know of any good free video editing programs?

i'm cheap
and i need a different video editing program because all i have is windows movie maker and for some strange reason, it only has one format, and youtube doesn't accept it.
so if you know of any, let me know =]

yeah when you're in movie maker you have to close the file and save it as a movie or it wont upload to anything. I'd have to look at it which i dont have time to do right now but later i'll give a better description

I think the Ulead Video Editor is free. I only ever used it once though.
