+44 Cancelling yet again

" Hey everybody, for some reason there has been NO announcement what so ever, but +44 is NOT playing in Seattle tomorrow. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, we can't make it. The show should have been cancelled when we had to back out of Europe, but it wasn't. I just learned of this yesterday.

To me, canceling shows is embarrassing, and says we don't care about our fans. I can't get across how much it bums me out to have to cancel shows. Fans are what make any band be able to do what they love to do...make music. Its a unique bond in the universal language that is music and art. I value this connection with fans more than anything, and I know that everybody in +44 feels the same. With that said, I'm SO sorry we have had to cancel these shows. What can we say? Shit happens sometimes, and all we can do is try our best to make sure it doesn't happen again, no matter how much some things are out of our control.

There's a SHIT ton of amazing bands playing at Bumbershoot, be sure to check out MERCY KILLERS' label mates, the HORRORPOPS and the AGGROLITES. I think they both play on Sunday. Be sure to catch them live, they're both amazing and you won't be disappointed!

Haha, I don't know. +44 is recording thats all I know but its lame to keep cancelling shows over it. Or for whatever other reason there may be which they won't reveal.

in my honest opinion they are like trying to compete with AVA instead of going at there own pace, i don't think this band will last long

i love mark and travis but i HATE craig and shane, they bother me. i think pluss 44 would've been SOOO much better with that girl in that band instead of those two. cause before it was alternative with keyboards and all. now its just punk guitar riffs, but darker

Actually, I like the darker parts of the album, because they seem to put more emotion and time into writing those songs.

Yeah I've been noticing that two. Next thing you know Mark will say he's making a movie for their second album which would be cool. I'm glad that travis and him can still make music but i wish they would take their sound in a different direction. Like when I first heard of +44 Mark said it was going to be an electronica album and that's one of my favorite types of music. But I love AVA and the Medditated state their music puts me in.

I think that Mark has the talent to be able to be in a band, and Travis can play the drums, really well. But they can't try to keep up with a band that has a six month jump on them.

i would cry but, like its like ending the band's misery, like its just slowly dying, and if they break up it would end it.

I don't think they're going to break up. I just think Mark is trying to compete with Tom.

Although in the end, the rest of the band might get tired of it and that could cause a break up in the future.

I think their music is good and I enjoy listenning to them and seeing them live but I think it will be hard in the future to continue as a band if the driving force behind it is Mark trying to be better than Tom. I think Mark feels that Tom doesn't deserve the sucess he has with AVA because it is the result of blinks demise. So he feels +44 must do better in evey way compared to AVA in order for him to feel that Tom didn't "win". I think he wants Tom to regret breaking blink up. Which I doubt will ever happen. Tom is a cocky fellow which some may not like that quality but its the reaosn why he is cocky about his music is because he is so proud of how great it is. Tom is very creative with his music and focuses on the future and what he can do with it. While Mark seems to focus more on the past and trys to think of a way to re-live blink without Tom. And it just won't work.

It's funny cuz I have an interview where +44 talks about Tom. The first thing Traivs says is, "F*** that dude". And at the end of the interview when asked about AVA Travis says, "I couldn't care less about any band that dude is in."

plus 44 is good though.
i don't think he's enjoying as much as blink.
