I just read the letter on YouTube, the one written by Adam.
Does anyone know the exact, or round-about date for when he actually committed suicide? And also, is it true that he was a die-hard Blink 182 fan, and his mother mailed Blink telling them what had happened, hence the writing of Adams Song? If not, how did Blink find out about it?

(I just want to know, because I'm performing it acoustically and singing it in music in a few weeks, and the teacher would seriously give me like an extra 10 marks if I knew all that :P So yeah...any help is appreciated).

Adams song is about a play. The letter is not real, im not sure if Mark Tom and Travis knew it was fake, but they wrote a song about it anyway.

Mark said he read the letter in an email that was being passed around alot at the time.

yes, it is about mark getting lonely on tour.. but he also said other parts are about that letter.

Adam song is about a kid who killed himself also being alone on tour. mark was emailed the letter the kid wrote and started to write adam song during the writing process mark wanted to write about how he feels so alone on tour and thats adam song
