That the recent new songs sound more like Boxcarracer and Blink?! I hate that. I thought the whole idea of AVA was to go in a new direction, not go back to a sound thats already been done!!

I think there is some more boxcar racer in it than We Don't Need to Whisper had, but I feel with WDNTW Tom was heavily influenced by some specific music and he incorporated a lot of other people's work into it. Now with this record, I feel he's taking those influences as well as some others that he hasn't put into his music before along with bands like Fugazi that influenced his previous works and is making it into something completely his own. I think this record will prove to be more "original" sounding than the last by blending all of these influences into a new, cohesive style.

At first I thought it sounded a variation of "Let this trainwreck burn more slowly, kids are victims in this story" from Anthem pt 2. But I don't really think so anymore, just that the word pattens are very similar.

I think because the new songs are alot catchier and catchy songs are often over played and people tend to get tired of them sooner.
